Why?
Our political system has become disconnect from those they claim to represent.
It has become an institution where politicians better themselves instead of representing and doing what’s best for the people.
Most of us don’t have faith that our interests are being looked after, or even considered.
Summary
The Country has been polarized since its founding; however, most people will say they fall in the political middle. Yet there is no party that represents the middle. The Democrats and Republicans will have you believe that they represent you in all things. Polarization is getting worse, and people are losing faith in government because they don’t feel represented. Few people like the extremist views of the two major political parties, and the extremist are getting worse.
We can repair our country by changing those who represent us and breaking the stranglehold by the two dominant parties and those interest that try to control them. A new party just needs a small amount of people supporting it to take away their monopoly in controlling the Country and dividing it and forming more extremist views.
Our representative democracy is supposed to be the trust of a group of citizens, in a person to represent them and do what’s best for those people, the community and Country as a whole.
This centrist party has been created to address the main issues a vast majority of people see. Most people consider themselves in the political center, but there’s not a party that represents them.
A strong centrist party will take the majority away from the two other major parties.
The two main political parties will have to negotiate and talk more instead of having extremist views and come back to the center.
We are a party of science (science drives policy), the do what’s right for our people, for our time.
We are not a party of the ten second sound bite, or the less taxes at all costs, and not the government programs can fix it all.
We believe in a strong middle class and citizens who want to be involved in the process.
What makes the most sense for the most citizens.
We are not Constitutional Originalist; the Founding Fathers has great ideas, and a great start, but the world has changed since then.

WHO WE ARE!

We believe in free speech, but understand speech has consequences.
We believe in fair taxes, but not bloated government programs that waste money.
We believe in the right to own a gun, but not a tank.
We care about the planet, but aren’t tree huggers.
We believe you should prove your ID when voting, but make voting easier with more access to everyone, including mail-in vote and making it a national holiday for it.
We believe in being able to donate money to a candidate, but with limits. Money doesn’t equal speech.
Politicians and Supreme Court justices should have term limits.
We believe in the right to an abortion, but with limits and with reasons.

Goals:

get rid of the extremist views being created by a two-party system

bring back civil debate and allow politics to part of normal conversation

get more people involved in politics

bring about reform that changes the rules of Congress and brings power back to the people, closer to citizens, instead of the wealthy, the well-connected, and party leaders
